THE COLOR OF BLACK AND WHITE IN PHOTOGRAPHY

What happens when a photo is desaturated so much that your colors are no longer colors but are a different shade of black or white? You get Art.

Creating black and white photography is something that I enjoy very much. The eeriness and mystique that comes with some black and white portraits is amazing. Thoughout history photography has continued to advance in capturing the natural color seen though the cameras lens, but sometimes, having color in a photo does not strike the feeling which is meant for the photo by the photographer. For example, a photo of a butcher who is working, lack the color red, will bring a different sense of feeling versus if the photo is in full color.
